The DuPage Water Commission last week welcomed Carol Stream Village President Frank Saverino as the newest member of its 13-person board.

Saverino, 63, elected village president in April, replaces former Carol Stream Village President Ross Ferraro on the board of the Lake Michigan water agency. Saverino, who was sworn in at the July 12 board meeting, was selected last month by the mayors and village presidents of Warrenville, West Chicago, Winfield and Carol Stream to be their towns’ municipal representative on the water commission board.

Ferraro had served on the water commission board since 2004.
