A. Joy Anderson, of Chicago, passed away at home on Monday.
She was a Chicago artist in the true sense of the word.
From having taught art through Truman College and various community centers, to designing and painting murals for Cook County Hospital, the Morse and 18th St. L-stations and Artists in Residents building.
She also enjoyed designing and painting a bench for Navy Pier, contributing work for the celebrity chair auctions and a favorite creating over 300 small art works for the Art-o-mat project.
She will be deeply missed by many friends.
She is survived by son’s Scott (Adele) Rynerson, Anthony (Sania) Rynerson; five grandchildren; and sister Penny.
A Memorial remembrance will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Berger Park Cultural Center, 6205 N. Sheridan Rd. Parking at Sacred Heart across street/pass provided in center.
