Bike the Drive:
Registration is open for the annual Bike the Drive for May 29. Lake Shore Drive will be open only to bicycle traffic from 5:30 to 10 a.m. Cyclists can sign up for 15 or 30-mile rides. Advance fees, including T-shirts, are $37 for Active Transportation Alliance members and $42 for nonmembers and $15 for kids 17 and younger. It’s $55 at the gate without T-shirt. Chicago’s annual Bike to Work Week is June 9-17. Sponsored by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and Goose Island 312 the week will kick off with a bike fashion show at noon June 9 at Daley Plaza. The Active Transportation Alliance also will run the Bike Commuter Challenge June 13-17, in which workplaces compete based on the number of bikers. Visit

The Windy City Z Club presents the 2011 Midwest Z Heritage Show June 10 and 11.
