More than one-third of employees who telecommute at least some of the time put in at least least an eight-hour work day, but a fair number of others are folding laundry and walking their dogs, a survey found.

Some 17 percent of people who telecommute said they spend an hour or less each day on work, according to a survey of 5,300 employees by CareerBuilder.

What’s distracting them? The biggest one is household chores. Also on the list are television, pets, errands, surfing the Internet and their children.
