Police issued a community alert today warning of a series of armed and strong-armed robberies on the South Side in the city’s Bronzeville neighborhood.
Police said the robbers approached their victims with a dark handgun or used force to take their property.
The robberies occurred the evening of May 22 in the areas of 43rd Street to 49th Street between King Drive and Cottage Grove Avenue, police said.
Police described the robbers as two black males between the ages of 18 to 45. They are between 5 feet 4 inches to 6 feet tall and weigh between 150 to 240 pounds.
Both were last seen wearing dark clothing, police said.
