Dodgers’ Lilly put on 15-day DL
Los Angeles Dodgers left-handed pitcher Ted Lilly was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday because of shoulder inflammation.
The move is retroactive to last Thursday, because Lilly last pitched on Wednesday.
Lilly is eligible to return June 8 at Seattle, and he is tentatively scheduled to start that game.
The Dodgers called up left-hander Michael Antonini from Triple-A Albuquerque. However, Nathan Eovaldi could be called up from Double-A Chattanooga to start Tuesday’s game.
Lilly started feeling pain in his shoulder after his May 18 start and it continued to be problem.
Through that May 18 game, Lilly was 5-0 with a 1.79 ERA, but he was hit hard in his next start and has a 5-1 record with a 3.14 ERA for the season.
