NBC Sports reports: The Missouri Supreme Court is reviewing a lawsuit by a man injured during a 2009 Kansas City Royals game when he was hit in the eye by a hot dog tossed by the team’s mascot Sluggerrr.

The court is weighing whether the “baseball rule,” which protects teams from being sued over fan injuries caused by events on the field, court or rink, also applies to injuries caused by mascots.
