A Geneva man pleaded guilty today to charges that he made video recordings of himself engaging in sexual acts with a minor, according to Kane County prosecutors.
Robert Schamne, 23, could face 10 to 45 years in prison when he’s sentenced on criminal sexual assault and child pornography charges, authorities said.
Schamne was accused of making the videotapes in late 2012 or early 2013. Following his guilty plea, he was returned to the Kane County jail, where he has been held since his arrest last year.
Schamne is due to be sentenced Nov. 14 by Judge John Barsanti.
