Libertyville attorney John Haderlein is “Clarence Darrow” in this one-man show at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 and 15, and at 2 p.m. Aug. 16 at Three Brothers Theatre, 115 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. “Clarence Darrow” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. It is directed by Ralph Churchill of PM&L Theatre in Antioch, and the Round Lake Park District. Author, Major League Umpire, Pilot, Actor and Racing Enthusiast Dick Cavenaugh will share stories from his memoir, “Just About-But Not Quite” at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum, 164 Hawley St. Contact 847-223-8515.

Beach Park Fest will be held from 9 to 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at Founders Park, 10385 Beach Road. It will include the annual car show organized by North Shore Rods, Inc. Registration begins at 8 a.m., judging will be from noon to 2 p.m. and awards will be presented at 4 p.m. Other activities include craft and food vendors, face painting and bounce houses for the kids, police and fire participation that includes an ambulance and engine, boat, ATV, smoke trailer and first aid trailer. Lindenfest continues noon to midnight, Aug. 14-15 and from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 16 at Village Hall, 2301 E. Sand Lake Road, Lindenhurst. The festivities will include bingo, carnival, contests, auction, food, beer and wine, and live music. Battle of the Bands at noon Aug. 16. Also, The parade will be held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 15 and will step off from the intersection of Rolling Ridge and Beck roads. Contact 847-356-8252.

Lincolnshire Art Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 15 and 16 at Village Green, Olde Half Day Road, near Route 21. It will host 100 juried artists from around the country and offers examples of fine art and fine craft in a variety of mediums and price points.
