Donations: Kiwanis Peanut Days are Friday and Saturday. Look for familiar faces in front of local grocery stores this weekend as we celebrate Kiwanis Peanut Days. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Zion-Benton will be collecting donations in exchange for peanuts. Peanut Days is one of the club’s major fundraisers, which helps to support community organizations that focus on serving children in the Beach Park, Winthrop Harbor and Zion areas. The Kiwanis Club of Zion-Benton also recognizes Zion-Benton Township High School students of the month and provides six scholarships to graduating students. The public can support the club even more by buying a case of peanuts from any Kiwanis member. The suggested donation is $50 per case. For more information, visit zbkiwanis.org.
