Whenever I am in Orlando, I rarely head for a theme park and might not even make it to a golf course — and I really love to play golf.

But a trip — at least one — to Whole Foods is a given.

Eating healthy away from home is a challenge, but Whole Foods makes it easier. When I was in town to cover Bay Hill in March, I hit the salad/hot bar after each round on the way back to the hotel.

If I am returning from the road — for business or pleasure — I stop by Whole Foods to stock up since there is not one in Gainesville.

Everything from wheat grass shot to a dry-aged N.Y. strip is on my radar when I arrive. And the produce is as fresh as you will find at the local fruit stands along the country highways in north Florida.

It’s a good thing there is not one back in Gainesville, actually, because I would be broke.
