Orlando Science Center has two new events on the horizon. One is kid-centric, and the other is for the 21-and-up crowd.

On Friday, Oct. 13, the inaugural OSC After Dark party will be a follow-up event to the museum’s sold-out Inspiring Innovation Gala, which is honoring tortoise researcher and conservationist Dr. Peter C.H. Pritchard.

The after party, set for 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., will feature dancing under the stars, a full liquor bar, “savory nibbles,” science activities and a henna tattoo artist.

Tickets are $100 in advance, $125 at the door. Science center members receive admission for $75. Money raised will support Orlando Science Center and the Chelonian Research Institute.

Tickets for the Inspiring Innovation Gala include entry to the after party.

On the younger end of the spectrum, the science center will be marking the first birthday of the new version of KidsTown with events on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22.

The 11,000-square-foot space concentrates on guests age 7 and younger. In addition to the usual STEM-driven programming, there will be birthday crafts, story times, a dance party and other activities.

The birthday activities will be included with general admission to Orlando Science Center. Tickets are $20.95 for adults ($14.95 for ages 3 to 11).
