An Aurora man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a child he knew between 2011 and 2016.

Arturo Sanchez, 30, of the 600 block of Gates Avenue, will face a minimum of 33 years in prison, according to a news release from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.

A Kane County jury found Sanchez guilty Wednesday of predatory criminal sexual assault, six counts of criminal sexual assault and six counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the release.

Sanchez will have to register for life as a sex offender in addition to his prison sentence.

Sanchez remains in the Kane County jail, where he has been held since his arrest in lieu of $400,000 bail.

Kane County Judge Clint Hull set Sanchez’s sentencing for July 17.
