History in an 1889 Quilt: The history of Libertyville can be discovered through the names embroidered on a signature quilt made nearly 130 years ago for the Union Church. The quilt represents a window to the past, with each square a pane providing a story of a Libertyville family, business or event. Photographic Exhibit. Libertyville Village Band Summer 2018 Concerts: The Libertyville Village Band continues its summer concert series. Band musicians are sought with no auditions required, especially percussion, french horn and flute. They start weekly rehearsals on Monday, June 11, 7 p.m. at the Libertyville High School band room. Ragdale Ring Monthly Summer Performances Begin June 13: Ragdale, the historic artists’ residency in Lake Forest, kicks off the sixth annual Ragdale Ring Performance Series on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. – June 13, July 11 and Aug. 15, finishing with an engaging program for the whole family on Saturday, Sept.15 at 4 p.m. These one-of-a-kind performances, feature folk music, jazz, puppet theater and contemporary dance, curated by top artists in their field.
