Mary Henebry and Daphne Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Photographer Mary Henebry has lived in Evanston for six years. She groomed her three dogs while enjoying the summer weather at Clark Square Park on a recent morning.
Q: What brought you here today?
A: My dogs need to get out and it’s a beautiful day. There’s no excuse.
Daphne is 6, Winston is her brother, he’s 7, and Lola is their mother. She’s 12.
Q: What type of dogs are they?
A: They’re Norwich terriers.
Q: What do you like best about brushing them in the park, aside from keeping their fur outside of the house?
A: The birds use their fur for their nests. They’re repurposing the dog fur, going back to nature.
