Calumet College of St. Joseph has a new leader.
On Tuesday, the college announced the appointment of University of Findlay administrator Ronald J. Tulley as its next president after a national search.

Tulley will assume his new role July 1, replacing Amy McCormack who’s retiring after nine years as president of the Whiting-based college.
Tulley serves as senior advisor for college transition and culture and also is an English professor at the University of Findlay, about 270 miles east of Whiting.
At Findlay, he’s also been dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and development director.
The release said Tulley has more than 25 years of experience in higher education and over a decade in senior leadership roles. He has been cited for expanding access to education, strengthening academic programs, and leading in a manner of integrity and faith.
“Dr. Tulley is a mission-driven leader who understands both the challenges and the opportunities facing higher education today,” said Lawrence Meyers, chairman of the board of directors. “He brings the experience, judgment, and dedication to the mission to build on CCSJ’s momentum and lead us confidently into the future.”
Tulley has a doctorate in English from Case Western Reserve University, master’s degrees in English, curriculum and instruction, health informatics, and business administration, and bachelor’s degrees in both English and history.
“I have often said that Calumet College of St. Joseph feels like home to me,” said Tulley. “CCSJ’s mission resonates deeply with me because its students reflect my own background and journey. I understand firsthand the transformative power of faith, opportunity, mentorship, and belief in one’s potential.”
Calumet College is a small private Catholic institution established in 1951 by the Missionaries of Precious Blood. In 1973, Standard Oil donated the building that currently serves as its six-story “vertical campus.”
