Elgin police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured early Sunday, according to a news release.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting about 3 a.m. in the 800 block of Prospect Boulevard, police said. Detectives from the Gang Crimes Unit are investigating.
No other details were released.
