A man was the victim of a reported robbery by three teenagers outside Golf Mill Shopping Center in Niles on New Year’s Eve, police said.
According to police, three individuals, described as older male teens, exited an alley between the Ulta and Ross stores around 6 p.m. and accosted a 56-year-old man where the alley and mall parking lot meet.
The victim reported that the teens grabbed him, pushed him up against a wall and began striking him in the head, police said.
One of the suspects allegedly grabbed the man’s wallet, removed about $250 in cash from it, and threw it to the ground before running away with the other two individuals toward Milwaukee Avenue.
The victim reported that he did not know the people who robbed him, police said.
Police described one of the suspects as wearing an Oakland As baseball cap, while another was wearing a black White Sox jacket.
