Remember back when Republicans blamed Nancy Pelosi for doing “nothing” to quell the January 6th riot? Video at the January 6th Commission hearing on Thursday shows that she was in the basement of the Capitol, on the phone, trying to get National Guard help from governors of surrounding states, since the Department of Defense had been frozen into inaction. Where was Trump, whose job Pelosi was doing? Watching, and savoring, the riot on Fox TV, and refusing to lift a finger to stop it.
The Republican Party flaunts itself as “the party of law and order,” and constantly harps about how Democrats “want crime” (that’s what Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville claimed just last week). But then they surrender their entire party to the lawless whims of a wannabe autocrat like Trump, who believes the law is just for suckers who can’t afford a veritable army of lawyers to object, stall, obfuscate, and appeal.
if you fly the flag at half-mast because of Joe Biden, how high did you fly it while Trump was trying to overturn an election, inciting a rebellion, and trying to make himself a dictator? Joe Biden destroying democracy is just another generic, catch-all phrase Republicans like to pitch to the masses, regardless that it can’t be proven. On the other hand, it’s easy to see that Republicans are the real threat to democracy, and they hope to turn America into a dictatorship.
Every single Indiana congressional Republican, in both the House and the Senate, voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, with no better reason than that it was a bill with Democratic support. Frank Mrvan voted for the bill. If Republican congressional candidate Jennifer-Ruth Greene had been the District 1 representative (and she want to be), she would have voted against it. Remember that when you cast your vote in November. Mrvan has brought tens of millions of federal dollars to Northwest Indiana. Had Greene been in the office Mrvan now holds, we would have got none of that.
Alex Jones vows to keep terrorizing the families of the school shooting victims following the nearly $1 billion judgement. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene jumped to his defense saying they were “just words.” Maybe a nice prison cell will muzzle his tendencies to terrorize people.
These Democrats my not have moral or Christian values, but they can sure run a lot of witch hunts at the expense of the middle class taxpayer. No wonder they are called the no value added party!
Now Jared Kushner, Trump and Mohammed bin Salman are trying to screw President Biden by reducing oil production. I’m guessing it’s in exchange for some of those missing documents and maybe that $2 billion “donation.”
John Gotti wasn’t the Teflon Don; Donny Trump is. He continues to beat the rap even while the evidence is right in front of your eyes.
Republicans should grab a broom and start sweeping. Right wingers want to blame Democrats for being weak on crime. Crime is a problem. However, the most serious criminal activities were fostered and supported by their former president Donald Trump. I ask which is worst — street crime or White House crime? Both are bad. Here is a critical difference. Neighborhood crime is usually committed by individuals who have had problems in their homes and schools and with employment. On the other hand, the corrupt activities that took place in the White House were carried out by a former president and advisors who in many cases came out of wealthy homes, received degrees from some of our top schools and held prominent positions in government, corporations, law, banking and education. They should be setting an example for those ‘out on the streets’ instead of engaging in corruption and crimes themselves.
It’s hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.
