The following items were taken from Niles Police Department bulletins. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Traffic violations

Adam Posin, 34, of the 900 block of Hinman Avenue, Evanston, was arrested Dec. 29 for driving a vehicle with its registration expired and suspended at the intersection of Dempster Street and Osceola Avenue, police said. A court date is set for Jan. 13.

Emilio De La Torre, 19, of the 2000 block of Algonquin Road, Rolling Meadows, was arrested Dec. 30 for speeding 73 mph in a 35 mph zone on the 7900 block of Dempster Street and driving without a license, police said. A court date is set for Jan. 19.

Driving under the influence

Oscar Lindahl, 25, of the 7200 block of Oakley Avenue, Chicago, was arrested Dec. 29 for driving under the influence of alcohol after speeding 78 mph at the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Oakton Street, police said. A court date is set for Feb. 15.

Disorderly conduct

Parish Steward, 41, of the 3600 block of Douglas Boulevard, Chicago, was arrested Dec. 29 for disorderly conduct after being aggressive toward customers and an employee at a gas station on the 7600 block of Milwaukee Avenue, police said. Responding officers found he had an active warrant with the Chicago Police Department and transported him there, Niles police said.

Public intoxication

Bernard Berg, 56, of the 7000 block of Skokie Boulevard, Skokie, was arrested Dec. 29 for public intoxication and requiring emergency services at the Jewel on the 5600 block of Touhy Avenue, police said.

Burglary

A residence on the 8600 block of Park Lane had thousands of dollars of jewelry removed from it Dec. 29 at an unknown time, police said.

An unknown subject pried open the door on a residence on the 8800 block of Wisner Street and took money and credit cards Dec. 29, police said.

Retail Theft

Three unknown men took about $500 worth of merchandise from the Dick’s Sporting Goods Dec. 29 without paying and drove away in a vehicle that was reported stolen in Chicago, police said.
