Explosives
A grenade found on the afternoon of June 10 during the cleaning of a house on the 200 block of Bonnie Brae Avenue was disposed of by the DuPage County bomb squad.
Assault
Mark Fikaris, 53, of the 100 block of East Crescent Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to government-supported property at 12:40 a.m. June 10 after police said he damaged a camera in a holding cell after being taken into custody in connection with a domestic incident.
Battery
Jachiya Sanders, 21, of the first block of Northern View Circle, DeKalb, was charged with domestic battery at 11:32 a.m. June 10.
Bicycle recovery
A bicycle reported stolen from the City Centre June 7 was located during the night near First Street and Addison Avenue and returned to its owner June 8.
Cannabis
Brandon Johnson, 30, of the 6100 block of South Langley Avenue, Chicago, was cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 8:47 a.m. June 8.
Clelina Gibson, 23, of the 600 block of South York Street, Elmhurst, was cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 3:30 p.m. June 8.
Jordan Lodygowski, 18, of the 2700 block of North Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, was cited for possession of cannabis by a driver and for improper lighting at 2:03 a.m. June 12.
Julian Diaz, 19, of the 1500 block of North 12th Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle and for possession of cannabis by someone under 21 at 7:34 a.m. June 12.
Jacob White, 23, of the 400 block of Washington Boulevard, Oak Park, was cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 12:30 a.m. June 14.
Amory Diming, 19, of the 100 block of West Butterfield Road, Elmhurst, was cited for possession of cannabis by a person under 21 at 2:39 a.m. June 14. In the same incident, Donald Potter, 58, of the same address, was cited for driving with improper lighting.
Criminal damage
An officer reported a damaged fire extinguisher box and discharged fire extinguisher on the top level of the parking garage at 175 W. First St. at 6 p.m. June 11.
Criminal trespass to a motor vehicle
Ashley Kline, 39, of the 100 block of East North End Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle at 7:15 p.m. June 12, after police said she was driving a vehicle reported stolen by Enterprise Leasing, Sparta, IL.
Disorderly conduct
Marquil McBride Jr., 18, of the 4400 block of Madison Street, Hillside, was charged with disorderly conduct, reckless driving, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, disobeying a traffic control device and driving without insurance at 4:15 p.m. June 9.
Drugs
Percy Robinson, 57, of the 1000 block of 22nd Avenue, Bellwood, was charged with domestic battery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 3:07 a.m. June 10.
Devonte Sims, 30, of the 1900 block of Pulaski Road, Calumet City, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis by a driver, driving without insurance, failing to signal and driving with expired registration at 1:15 a.m. June 12.
DUI
Frank Mendoza, 41, of the 200 block of North Keating Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, speeding, improper lighting and illegal transport of alcohol at 3:11 a.m. June 11.
Identity theft
A resident told police on June 12 that an unknown person used his information to open a Verizon account, that the victim discovered when he received a collection letter stating he owed money to Verizon Wireless.
Stolen vehicles
Two Dodge Durangos were stolen from Larry Roesch Chrysler, 200 W. Grand Ave., between midnight and 7 a.m. June 12. Both vehicles were recovered in Chicago.
Theft
A male suspect took cigarettes and cigarillos from Thorntons, 476 N. York St., at 8:10 p.m. June 9 after his female companion’s credit card was declined for the purchase.
Theft by deception
A resident reported June 8 that an unknown offender posed as an internet provider offering a discount through the use of gift cards. The resident purchased two gift cards and provided the suspect with the security codes from the cards.
Traffic
William Noorlag, 65, of the 700 block of Emroy Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited for failure to exercise due care to avoid collision with a pedestrian, failure to yield to a pedestrian at an intersection with stop signs and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 9:11 p.m. June 8.
Lizbeth Zuniga, 21, of the 400 block of Gilbert Drive, Woodridge, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving with suspended registration and driving without insurance at 11:45 p.m. June 9.
Brianna Honeycutt, 24, of the 1100 block of West 112th Place, Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, speeding, improperly tinted windows, failing to secure a seat belt for a child and five counts of child restraint violations at 8:25 p.m. June 10.
Mariano Flores Enriquez, 29, of the 700 block of South 31st Street, Milwaukee, was charged with driving without a rear license plate, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without insurance at 1:02 a.m. June 11.
Pedro Rafaela, 20, of the 2500 block of Melrose Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and failing to dim headlights at 1:13 a.m. June 11.
Ruth Chacon, 26, of the 100 block of Silver Lane, Melrose Park, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding at 3:14 a.m. June 11.
Fernanda Hernandez, 24, of the 3000 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, Chicago, was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving without insurance, driving with suspended registration, driving with expired registration and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 11:45 a.m. June 11.
Kristy Foley, 22, of the 2400 block of Oak Street, Franklin Park, was cited for failing to restrain a child and for driving without a seat belt at 2:14 p.m. June 12.
Austin Brown, 27, of the 2500 block of River Woods Drive, Naperville, was charged with failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improperly tinted windows, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving without insurance and possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 5:06 p.m. June 12.
Urbano Rosas, 59, of the 100 block of North Cross Street, Wheaton, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, speeding and driving without insurance at 7:34 p.m. June 12.
Elizabeth Padilla Gutierrez, 39, of the 5000 block of West Henderson Street, Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and passing a vehicle on the shoulder at 7:29 a.m. June 13.
Jhane Robinson, 22, of the 7100 block of South Euclid Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving with suspended registration and driving without insurance at 9:25 a.m. June 13.
Angela McCrovitz, 62, of the 600 block of West Beach Court, Folly Beach, S.C., was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a traffic control signal at 3:20 p.m. June 13.
Katherine Cabrera, 21, of the 6400 block of West 26th Street, Berwyn, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, improper passing on the shoulder and driving without insurance at 5:21 p.m. June 13.
Anthony Ocanto, 28, of the 4600 block of North Kenilworth Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and driving on the shoulder at 3:53 p.m. June 14.
Jayla McClinton, 21, of the 11300 block of South Normal Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving with suspended registration, driving without a valid driver’s license and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 5:36 p.m. June 14.
