Elmhurst
Battery
Refugio Fernandez-Ortiz, 50, of the 200 block of West Butterfield Road, Elmhurst, was charged with six counts of domestic battery at 10:58 p.m. June 24.
Deborah Wunderlich, 56, of the 100 block of North Myrtle Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with two counts of domestic battery at 3:18 a.m. June 25.
Burglary
Money was reported taken from a vehicle on the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue by someone who broke a passenger side window to gain access on the afternoon of June 22.
Danna Bien, 41, of the 200 block of State Highway, Essex, Mo., was charged with burglary without causing damage at 5:38 p.m. June 22 after allegedly taking personal belongings and a television from a company truck on the 600 block of North Larch Avenue.
The owner told police a Sony PlayStation 5 and a Meta Quest 2 headset were missing from his truck on June 24 after he dropped the truck for repair on the 600 block of North Larch Avenue.
An unknown offender broke the front passenger side window of a vehicle at LA Fitness, 620 N. York St., at 9:40 a.m. June 26 and took a Michael Kors bag.
Cannabis
Anthony Martinez, 22, of the 1000 block of South Myrtle Avenue, Villa Park, was cited for improper lane use and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 9:01 a.m. June 23.
Dejah Young, 26, of the 300 block of 48th Avenue, Bellwood, was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and improper window treatment at 7:54 p.m. June 26.
Eric Waxman, 49, of the 300 block of Happ Road, Northfield, was cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle and failing to wear a seat belt at 6:15 June 28.
Michael Pita, 22, of the 8200 block of West Oak Avenue, Niles, was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and improper lighting at 12:28 a.m. June 29.
Criminal trespass to property
Carlos Lopez, 30, of the 4600 block of Mozart Street, Chicago, was cited for criminal trespass to property at 2:56 p.m. June 25 after allegedly using a knife to open a locked bathroom in Elm Lawn Cemetery, 401 E. Lake St.
Jeffry Lagos Membreno, 25, of the 5800 block of Francisco Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and driving with expired registration at 12:56 a.m. June 26.
Charles Keefer, 53, of the 300 block of North Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was charged with criminal trespass to property at 9:52 a.m. June 26 in Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St., where police said he had previously been given a No Trespass notice.
Deceptive practice
A resident reported that between June 18 and June 24 he was contacted online by an unknown suspect who asked to pay for the use of one of the resident’s Instagram photos. The victim was sent numerous checks and was advised to send money to other online accounts for supplies. The victim sent funds before he learned he was the victim of a scam.
Disorderly conduct
Sophia Gale, 57, of the 200 block of North Maple Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited for disorderly conduct at 12:03 p.m. June 27 after allegedly yelling at a landscaper and spraying him with a hose.
Mathew Keovan, 55, of the 400 block of East Church Street, Elmhurst, was cited for disorderly conduct at 6:57 p.m. June 27 following a disturbance at Courts Plus, 186 S. West Ave.
DUI
Jeblin Cifuentes-Carrillo, 27, of the 1900 block of North 18th Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence, illegal transport of open alcohol and driving with a revoked driver’s license at 12:35 a.m. June 24.
Ricardo Maravilla Garcia, 34, of the 4500 block of South Talman Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence and two counts of driving on the wrong side of the road at 10:37 p.m. June 28.
Identity theft
Kristine Figueroa, 36, of the 1500 block of Monroe Avenue, River Forest, was charged with identity theft at 9:50 a.m. June 28 after allegedly using someone else’s credit card to purchase Amazon gift cards.
A resident reported June 28 that someone used his credit card information to buy an airline ticket. The airline reservation was canceled.
Theft
An unknown offender reportedly took merchandise from Mariano’s, 678 N. York St., at 6:01 p.m. June 22.
Several offenders took merchandise from Mariano’s 678 N. York St., leaving the store without paying at 2:45 p.m. June 26.
A resident on the 200 block of South Cottage Hill Avenue reported that someone stole his wheelchair from his driveway between 3 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. June 27.
James Walker, 55, of the 19W500 block of Roosevelt Road, Lombard, was charged with felony retail theft from Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St., at 7:05 a.m. June 28 after an officer reportedly saw him pushing a cart of stolen alcohol.
An unsecured black and blue Trek bicycle left on the parkway in the 500 block of South Prospect Avenue was reported stolen at 4:53 p.m. June 28.
Theft by deception
A resident told police on June 22 an unknown offender got access to her computer while posing as a service provider representative. The resident subsequently recognized this as fraudulent activity and ceased contact with no money lost.
Traffic
Kevin Pittman, 28, of the first block of North Long Avenue, Chicago, was charged with disobeying a stop sign and driving with a suspended driver’s license at 11:26 p.m. June 22.
Sophia Sanmi, 19, of the 800 block of South Hawthorne Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident for driving without valid registration at 7:46 a.m. June 23.
Israel Rodriguez, 35, of the 4400 block of South Harlem Avenue, Stickney, was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and for violating Scott’s Law, which requires motorists to move over and/or slow down approaching emergency vehicles, at 12:42 p.m. June 23.
Anthony Kittling, 55, of the 1900 block of South 19th Avenue, Maywood, was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving with expired registration, improperly tinted windows and driving without insurance at 4:25 p.m. June 24.
Roberto Cua Garcia, 28, of the 400 block of Park Street, Bensenville, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving without insurance and driving with expired registration at 8:42 p.m. June 24.
Milos Dosen, 87, of the 5900 block of South Park Avenue, Berkeley, was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license, damaging city property and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 9:44 p.m. June 24.
Robert Sammarco, 34, of the 4100 block of North Central Avenue, Chicago, was charged with failing to display registration (license plate) and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 11:37 p.m. June 24.
Deja Smith, 21, of the 6900 block of South Vernon Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and improper lighting at 12:30 a.m. June 25.
Carlos Garay, 20, of the 100 block of North 23rd Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, improperly tinted windows and improper lighting at 12:20 p.m. June 25.
Leilany Delaricci, 23, of the 2200 block of North 74th Avenue, Elmwood Park, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving with expired registration and illegal transport of alcohol at 12:55 p.m. June 26.
Unlawful use of a debit card
A resident reported that an unknown offender withdrew money in April from an ATM using his debit card.
