Chance the Rapper will host an event on May 16 at Rooftop Cinema Club to celebrate the 10‑year anniversary of his album “Coloring Book.”
The evening at the outdoor movie venue in the Fulton Market neighborhood will include a screening of his concert film, “Chance the Rapper’s Magnificent Coloring World,” followed by an audience Q&A session with Chance. Tickets go on sale May 4.
Chance, aka the Chicago-born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, will host similar events in New York and Los Angeles to mark the anniversary. “Coloring Book” was released as a mixtape in 2016 and won for best rap album at the 2017 Grammy Awards, the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy. Chance is also scheduled to perform a concert on Aug. 8 at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park.
