A 1-year-old boy was reported safe after a vehicle he was inside was stolen early Wednesday in the Roseland neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 2:15 a.m., the boy was inside a vehicle in the 9100 block of South Urban Avenue, and a 36-year-old man was next to the vehicle when someone entered and fled the scene, police said.
A short time later, the thief drove to the 6200 block of South Eberhart Avenue, where the toddler was found inside, police said.
The boy was taken to an area hospital for observation, police said.
