A Chicago man was charged Wednesday in a March fatal crash on the Kennedy Expressway that killed two people, according to Illinois State Police.

Isaiah Olivas, 27, was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI causing death and two counts of aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm, officials said.

On March 15, shortly after 1:45 a.m., ISP troopers responded to a crash on southbound I-90 at Randolph Street where a Hyundai sedan carrying four occupants stopped after having malfunctions in the left lane. A Jeep, driven by Olivas, rear-ended the sedan.

The four occupants were taken to area hospitals where Rashad Dean and Nadinah Cunnings, were pronounced dead, officials said.

Olivas turned himself in after he was formally charged Monday and is in custody at Cook County Jail.
