Every year, the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), April 6-8 at McCormick Place South, sets its sights on making that year’s event bigger and better than the previous expo.

C2E2 Event Manager Mike Negin says they have grown the features on the show floor, like Cosplay Central, Family HQ and Artist Alley in order to provide fans the best experiences.

“We’ve added a tremendous amount of afterhours content, including a C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay after party, an Evening with Henry Rollins comedy show, Late Night Karaoke and so much more,” says Negin. “We’ve worked closely with Card Against Humanity to create dedicated comedy programming. Our Crown Championships will be hosting more championship cosplayers from around the globe than ever before.”

The annual C2E2 event is one of the city’s premier expos. With a diverse audience appeal that includes families and attendees ages 1 to 100, the show features entertainment, comic and literary guests throughout the three-day event.

“C2E2 is really a show for nerds of all ages. We have a dedicated Family HQ on the show floor, which has kid and family friendly programming all weekend long, including ‘Star Wars’ characters from the 501st Legion, wild animals from a Sanctuary and circus acrobats,” says Leslie Hunsinger, C2E2 marketing coordinator. “We also have an awesome assortment of after parties during C2E2 After Dark, where the grown-ups can have a few drinks and get geeky with it.”

According to Negin, seeing and meeting the stars is part of the excitement at C2E2. “I think fans are going to be excited to meet Marvel Comic’s 2018 Young Guns, Aaron Kuder, Mike Del Mundo, Javier Garron, Pepe Larraz and Marco Checchetto. DC Comics writer Tom King has brought Batman to new heights and I think fans will be eager to meet the rising star in person,” he says. “Also attending are comic legendries like Alan Davis, Tim Sale, Whilce Portacio and Klaus Janson, who have amazed fans for decades with their masterful storytelling. It truly is a great time to be a C2E2 fan!”

Tickets are available online at c2e2.com or at the door, where tickets cost $10 more. The Ticket Mailing Deadline to receive tickets in the mail and skip the Will Call line is March 9. Tickets are Adults from $30.75; $40.75 Friday-Sunday; Kids from $10.75 per day; Combo packages available.
