Todd Rokita is joining in the effort by a group of Republican Attorneys General (who else?) to have the social media platform Tik Tok recategorize itself from “teen” to “mature,” because teens being exposed to “sexual content” in Tik Tok posts might lead them to “pornographic addiction.” Somehow this reminds me of the old joke about why all those religious leaders back in the 1950s were so opposed to pre-marital sex. Why? Because it might lead to dancing!
If someone gives you a treadmill for Xmas and you take offense to being gifted exercise equipment, I’ll take it. Those things are expensive.
Trump admits, in fact brags, that he turned down a deal to exchange Paul Whelan and Viktor Bout offered by Vladimir Putin, and would rather that 100 Americans languish in misery in Russian penal colonies than to have Viktor Bout released. Trump of course doesn’t mention that he freed 5,000 Taliban prisoners and had even made offers to meet with Taliban leaders at Camp David — just two days before an anniversary of 9/11. Many of the Republicans now grousing about the exchange of Bout for Griner supported this whole deal with the Taliban, some of whom are now even calling for Biden’s impeachment over the Bout/Griner exchange. Sometimes the utter hypocrisy of Republican “leaders” just takes your breath away.
So a commenter thinks we would not be experiencing $4 gasoline and $3 carton eggs if the fraudulent, psychopath big loser were still in office? Where do you live? I’m paying under $3 for gas, and I was forewarned about eggs when I heard on network news over two months ago about one of worse outbreaks of bird flu resulting in the deaths of 37 million egg-laying hens so far this year. The ignorant Trumpers non-stop spreading of lies and misinformation like the criminal they worship must come from their false news Fox network. This has got to stop to because it just undermines the strength of our democracy.
As Republicans prepare to take control of the House and start flexing about hearings and investigations one can’t help but wonder if they remember how things were done while Trump was president. He set the new precedent that there is no need to honor Congressional subpoenas or to testify if you do not wish to. The Department of Justice is the enforcing power and as part of the executive branch, Trump had them stop enforcing compliance. Let’s hope Biden follows his lead when the do-nothing Republicans start wasting tax dollars with baseless investigations.
There are some things you should never forget when you write about Trump and COVID in the same sentence. Only I can handle it, it will be gone by spring, horse tranquilizer will kill it, inject a bleach substance, and best of all, we can inject light into the body right, Dr. Birx? Millions have died and continue to till this day, and COVID is still among us due to Trump’s lies and incompetence. Only fools who still won’t vaccinate or wear a mask will continue to debate the facts.
The only reason to hire Trump as a consultant is if someone wanted to cheat on their taxes, lie to the world thousands of times, cheat on their spouse, pay off a porn star, make fun of a reporter with a disability or a gold star family, file bankruptcy, cater to white supremacists, or learn how a failed attempt at a insurrection works. The world needs a lot of things, but Trump’s guidance is clearly NOT one of them.
Whoa, what did I just read from the local Marxist? Gas is below $3, thank you, President Biden?!?!?! This coming from the side who blamed Vladimir Putin for gas going over $4 and saying that oil prices are global and beyond Biden’s control.
