Two people died in a crash at the intersection of 136th Street and Western Avenue in Blue Island Tuesday morning, according to police reports.
One victim was identified as Isidro Martinez Valadez, 37, from Blue Island, according to a report from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The second victim was identified as Abel Martinez-Castaneda, 47, and his address was unknown as of Thursday afternoon.
Both victims died due to multiple blunt force injuries, according to the CCMEO report.
Valadez’s family set up a GoFundMe to ask for help with funeral expenses and transporting him to Mexico to be mourned by the rest of his family.
Martinez-Castaneda’s family also set up a GoFundMe for help covering the costs of his memorial services and funeral expenses.
