A 65-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision Sunday night in Belmont Cragin, Chicago Police said.

The woman, who was using a crosswalk, was struck by a red pickup truck traveling southbound at the 3100 block of North Central Avenue, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene around 9:30 p.m.

After the collision, the vehicle fled and continued traveling southbound on Central Avenue.

Major accident detectives are investigating the incident.
