A 58-year-old man was fatally wounded in a double shooting overnight on the South Side in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 1:25 a.m., the victim and a 26-year-old man were inside of a blue hatchback in the first block of West 43rd Street when the older man suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to UChicago Medicine where he was pronounced dead.
The younger victim suffered a graze wound to the back of the head and was taken to the same hospital where he was listed in good condition.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
