Good afternoon, Chicago.

Indiana voters decide their party’s nominees for races at the federal and state levels, as well as a few local races, during today’s Indiana primary election. Votes will be counted in contested races after polls close in Indiana at 6 p.m. local time.

President Donald Trump is waging a retribution campaign against some fellow Republicans in today’s primary in Indiana. Seven GOP state senators who blocked his push to redraw the state’s congressional districts now face primary challengers endorsed by him.

Here’s what to know about the election, and where to follow along for live results.

And here’s what else is happening today. And remember, for the latest breaking news in Chicago, visit chicagotribune.com/latest-headlines and sign up to get our alerts on all your devices.
