
An armed robbery crew struck again Tuesday night, with a group traveling in a gray sedan on the North Side, Chicago police said.
The Tuesday night robbery spree began shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the River North neighborhood on the Near North Side, police said.
A 66-year-old woman was walking in the 1300 block of North Halsted Street when three males got out of a gray sedan and took her purse and car keys at gunpoint. The robbers then got into her Chrysler 300 and fled the scene, police said.
A crew struck again hours later at in the Logan Square neighborhood.
About 9:30 p.m., a 66-year-old woman was getting out of a vehicle in the 1800 block of North Fairfield Avenue when two armed robbers got out of a gray sedan and stole her purse and other belongings, police said. The woman was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, where she was listed in good condition.
About the same time, in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, a 25-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were approached in the 1400 block of North Fairfield Avenue in the front yard of a residence by two males who had gotten out of a gray sedan with handguns, police said.
Police said the couple fled to the back of the residence and were not injured or robbed.
Around 9:40 p.m., a 41-year-old man was targeted as he was unloading groceries in the 1700 block of North Sawyer Avenue, police said.
Two males got out of a gray sedan and took his wallet, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
