2. Stevenson 10-1 (2): Providing pop at the top, Dalya Barron hits a two-run homer in the Patriots’ win over New Trier.
3. Warren 8-4 (4): Freshman Adriana Burke is a key factor in the Blue Devils’ 5-0 start in the North Suburban Conference, blanking Mundelein and allowing one run against Stevenson.
4. Mundelein 5-3 (3): Wisconsin-Stevens Point commit Emily Courtney leads the Mustangs with a .400 batting average.
5. Lake Zurich 7-4 (6): Alaina Krzeminski is hitting .455 with three home runs, two doubles and 16 RBIs for the Bears.
6. Grayslake North 8-3 (8): Freshman Gabby Zapata hits a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Knights over Lake Zurich.
7. Carmel 4-4 (NR): Kaitlyn Konen, who is displaying great range at shortstop, bats .636 in four games, including three wins.
8. Vernon Hills 6-7-1 (7): Maiya Anderson goes on a hot streak, too, batting .526 with six RBIs and seven stolen bases in six games.
9. Wauconda 9-8 (5): The future is now with sophomore Maddie May and freshman Ainsleigh Buse, who rack up 12 hits and eight RBIs combined over four games.
10. Libertyville 5-6 (NR): Georgetown commit Taylor Higham is batting .500 to power the Wildcats’ offense.
