After deliberating nearly seven hours over two days, a jury convicted Houston Texans safety Marcus Coleman on a misdemeanor drunken driving charge. The jury will begin considering his punishment Tuesday. Coleman faces up to six months in prison and a $2,000 fine.
– Prosecutors still plan to take NBA star Kobe Bryant to trial on a sexual-assault charge, despite a ruling that will allow the defense to argue that her injuries could have been caused by sex with someone other than Bryant. The trial is scheduled to begin Aug. 27.
